Egon Durban is a Managing Partner and Managing Director of Silver Lake, which he joined in 1999 as a founding principal. He is based in the firm's Menlo Park office and has previously served in the New York office as well as the London office, which he launched and managed from 2005 to 2010. Mr. Durban serves on the board of directors of Dell, Intelsat S.A., Motorola Solutions, and is Chairman of the Board of Directors of WME Entertainment. Previously, he served on the board of Skype, and was the chairman of its operating committee, and served on the supervisory board and operating committee of NXP B.V., and Multiplan Inc. Mr. Durban currently serves on the board of Tipping Point, a poverty-fighting organization that identifies and funds leading non-profit programs in the Bay Area to assist individuals and families in need.
Prior to Silver Lake, Mr. Durban worked in Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division. While at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Durban organized and led a joint initiative between the Corporate Finance Technology Group and the Mergers and Acquisitions Financial Sponsors Group to analyze and present investment opportunities in the technology industry. Previously, Mr. Durban worked in Morgan Stanley's Corporate Finance Technology and Equity Capital Markets groups. Mr. Durban graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Finance.
