20 years of experience as Pharmaceutical research associate, project leader, working in TAKEDA Pharmaceutical industry Ltd. (Allergy, Inflammatory disorders, Cardiovascular Disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Obesity, Aging...)
Joined T-CiRA Suzuki-Project, a joint program of TAKEDA, CiRA and RIKEN as Sub-PI in April 2017.
Currently, focusing neurodegenerative diseases such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) , especially in motor neurons derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) with FUS or TDP-43 mutation. By using iPSCs derived from deficient individuals to generate neuronal cells, attempting to study the mechanism underlying the NGLY1 Deficiency and to develop new strategies for drug.
Obtained Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine with Spermatogenesis at the Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University.
