Madeleine is a recent graduate from Oberlin College with a bachelor’s in Biology and Geology. Her past research experience has focused on morphometrics and imaging in the fields of Paleontology and Evolutionary Biology. She has worked in a collaboration between Oberlin College and Carleton University utilizing geometric morphometrics to discover modularity in salamander skulls. She has worked at Yale University within the Invertebrate Paleontology collections to bring fossils of the Western Interior Seaway to public view and data consumption. She has also worked in the growing field of GIS, co-opting the budding technology as a way to quantify shape changes in Ammonite fossils. Madeleine is connecting her background in evolutionary biology to the world of genetics at Perlara on the Drosophila melanogaster team.
