Fred Tomlin

Fred Tomlin is a graduate student studying Chemistry at Stanford University. After obtaining his undergraduate degree in 2013 in Chemistry summa cum laude at Whitman College, he started graduate school at University of California, Berkeley, where he joined Carolyn’s lab. Following her in the lab’s move to Stanford, he began research in 2016 on novel NGLY1 inhibitors to better mimic the disease state in cell lines and animal models, in addition to probing the molecular mechanisms underlying the conditions caused by NGLY1 Deficiency.
