Dr. Ulla Gerling-Driessen

Ulla Gerling-Driessen is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Prof. Bertozzi’s lab and is funded by a fellowship from Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), an autonomous body for the sciences and arts in Germany. She completed her undergraduate, masters, and graduate degrees in bioorganic chemistry at Freie Universitaet in Germany. Her graduate work with Prof. Beate Koksch focused on investigating misfolded peptides and understanding the parameters that influence amyloid formation of proteins. In her Postdoctoral work, Ulla is investigating the link between NGly1 and a transcription factor with the aim of developing new therapeutic strategies for NGly1 deficiency.
