Sandra Clauder-Münster studied Biotechnology Engineering at the Mannheim University of Applied Science, Germany. In 2003 she started as a Lab Manager in the lab of Dr. Lars Steinmetz at EMBL in Germany. Since 2014 she has been involved in NGLY1 Deficiency research. Her focus is on developing functional assays for screens aiming to identify compounds that increase deglycosylation. She is also setting up genome-wide knockout screens to identify those genes that rescue deglycosylation deficiency.
